Siempre Mujer magazine invited Hillary Clinton to write an introduction to their second annual "Siempre Inspiran" (Always Inspiring) feature in the October/November issue. Campaign Manager Patti Solis Doyle is profiled in the same issue among the "Ten Inspiring Women" of the Year!
Hillary shared with the readers of the magazine words of wisdom and encouraged them to become leaders - in their families, their workplaces and their communities. Hillary has always believed in empowering women, and in getting involved as a way to exercise leadership. Here is a translated excerpt from her article:
"I believe women can be powerful agents of change and that women's leadership is critical not just in the boardroom or the courtroom, but in our families and communities as well. When we choose to read to our children, to get to know their friends, we are exercising leadership and strengthening our children's future. When we get involved in our churches and our local organizations, we are also exercising our leadership and strengthening our fellow citizens' future."
For many of us as Latinas, our madres, abuelas, hermanas and tias are our role models, and the women who inspire us, and we know that many readers of Siempre Mujer will be inspired after reading Hillary's article and Patti's profile.
